Airplane
The vehicle for your ministry. It will be fast, effective and will reach new heights.

As with visions, dreaming of a large jumbo jet could speak of a public ministry or, certainly an expansion into something more public. If you are dreaming of flying the plane, this could speak of a promotion.
NEGATIVE
​
If you have a fear of flying, then dreaming of being in a plane could represent having to face your fears.
Also if you dream that you are flying this plane but that you are not meant to, that someone else should be flying it, this could indicate that you are taking charge of things that are not yours to take charge of.
In a spiritual context it could speak of you taking things out of the Lord's hands. The solution of course is to let go and put God back in control of your life.
UNIVERSAL SYMBOL

I have come to see airplanes in dreams and visions as a representation of ministry. The larger the plane, the larger the ministry. The larger the plane, the more members and helpers are needed on board to aid the ministry.
​
At one time the Lord kept showing each of the AMI (Apostolic Movement International) team as fighter planes flying in formation.
A fighter plane is a weapon of war. It is fast and effective, and if you want to find a good comparison for it in Scripture, you would use the eagle or the bird of prey as an example.
​
The fighter plane speaks of a ministry of intercession and warfare. It speaks of surveying the land on behalf of the body of Christ and overcoming the enemy in it - of going ahead and scouting the area for any attacks.
​
This speaks of a very aggressive ministry that is more personal in nature and will cripple the kingdom of darkness! Consider this passage:

Speaking of war:

"Behold, He shall come up and fly like the eagle, and spread His wings over Bozrah; the heart of the mighty men of Edom in that day shall be like the heart of a woman in birth pangs." - Jeremiah 49:22
Anchor
An anchor could represent the Lord, a person or a teaching.
​
It is a picture of security, steadfastness and hope. It can also be a picture of a season of being settled in your life.
​
"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil." - Hebrews 6:19
​
Positive: To reach a place of security
Negative: To be hindered from moving forward
​
POSITIVE
​
If you have been moving from one thing to the next and then dream of dropping anchor, it means that a season is coming of rest and of being settled for a while.
When seen in a positive light, an anchor could represent the security you have in the Lord.
As in the passage above, hope is our anchor! It keeps our eyes set on the goal ahead of us, and we are then secure in our vision and in the Lord. It speaks of a season where you will remain in one place for a while – much like when the cloud rested on the tabernacle in the Old Testament and the people set up camp... time to drop anchor for a while!
​
If the symbol is positive, it also means to be in a place of safety. An anchor prevents a ship from drifting off course. On the one hand you might feel “stuck” but the purpose of this situation, is to keep you in a season of safety until you are ready, once again, for open seas. This scripture paints the picture beautifully:

"Then, fearing lest we should run aground on the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern, and prayed for day to come" - Acts 27:29

NEGATIVE
​
Sometimes when I see an anchor in the spirit, it has a negative connotation. In other words, the anchor is holding you back! An anchor is meant to keep a ship stationary, which is great when coming to shore, but not when you are trying to catch the wind!
Now if you look at the ship as a form of ministry, there will be times for rest and “dropping anchor.” But when the Lord wants you to move on to the next phase, you need to hoist that anchor and move on.
At such times we release the ministry in the spirit, hoist those sails, and move full steam ahead!
Angels
Strong's 32: aggelos- a messenger, an envoy, one who was sent, an angel, a messenger from God.

UNIVERSAL SYMBOL

POSITIVE
​
There are various types of angels that fall into the categories below. Note that the following interpretations relate to visions or prophetic dreams only.
​
It is also worthwhile to note that if you often see angels and demons in the spirit that you function in the gift of discerning of spirits. I cover this gift in detail in the Way of Dreams and Visions and Prophetic Essentials.
​
Guardian angels:
​
"For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways." - Psalms 91:11
​
These angels are issued to you at birth, namely they are your guardian angels. In personal experience, such angels are larger than life and look very powerful in the spirit.
​
We often see them dressed in various gear, and they often carry swords and wear sashes.
​
Worship angels:
​
"Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts." - Psalms 148:2
This speaks of the worship angels who worship the Lord in the Throne Room. They are present during praise and worship.
​
In personal revelation and experience, such angels usually have wings and sing with the loveliest of voices. They often carry instruments such as harps, tambourines, trumpets, and various stringed instruments.
​
Messenger angels:
​
"Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God." - Luke 1:30
​
Here is a reference to a messenger angel. He is the one who brings messages from the Lord.
​
In personal experience, such angels are plain looking, in flowing robes, often bearing a scroll or ram's horn.
​
Warrior angels:
​
"And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought." - Revelation 12:7
​
Here is a reference to Michael, the leader of the warrior angels. In personal experience, such angels carry swords, have eyes of fire and look very foreboding.
​
NEGATIVE
​
"And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light." - 2 Corinthians 11:14
​
This speaks of the enemy who appears as an angel of light - a deception. In personal experience, such angels do not reveal their faces and are very bright. They are accompanied by intense emotion and are very forceful.
​
Such an angel would try to get you to receive from them or open your heart to them. Doing so would open your heart wide to the enemy, giving him license in your life.
​
It is not common for a believer to have experiences with angels, unless they are operating in the gift of discerning of spirits. I have also noted that these kinds of experiences usually happen to those with an evangelistic calling.
​
Check all revelations of angels that you receive with someone who is more mature in Christ and will be able to judge the spirit for you. Also consider the following verse that warns against the worship of angels:
​
"Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind," - Colossians 2:18
​
Although seeing angels in vision can give tremendous direction, it is not something that you should go looking for.
New Age cults emphasize angelic experiences, and you should be cautious of receiving from anyone that emphasizes their experiences with angels and does not share their relationship with the Lord Jesus.
Apple
A fruit common to most people. It has both a negative and positive connotation.

Positive: Speaks of favor
Negative: Speaks of temptation

"Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness." - Acts 14:17

An apple in an internal dream can speak of favor or a gift. It also speaks of being fruitful and of something that has reached maturity. As in the Scripture above, it speaks of spiritual maturity.

NEGATIVE

A rotten apple in an internal dream can speak of poison, deception, sin or hidden evil within.

UNIVERSAL SYMBOL

"Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings." - Psalms 17:8

The apple in this case speaks of favor and a position of importance, as we are the apple of God's eye. We are also to keep His teaching as the apple of our eyes (Proverbs 7:2). This means to esteem the Word as of great importance.

NEGATIVE
​
"So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate."
- Genesis 3:6
​
This speaks of temptation and the fruits of the flesh. Often referred to as “the forbidden fruit.”
​
You need to discern if the fruit you are seeing in your vision has a positive or negative connotation.
​
If you have a vision that someone is eating fruit that looks good on the outside, but is bad on the inside, this could definitely speak of temptation - to not give into those things just because they look good, but also to discern the spirit.
Armor
The embodiment of protection for your body and heart. The condition of your spiritual strength for the purpose of spiritual warfare.
It is also representation of your position in the Kingdom.

CHARACTER SPECIFIC SYMBOL
If the armor you are wearing in your dream is something that you have had in real life, then you need to discern what part of your life it represents.
​
If the armor dates back to a specific era of your life, then it could well be that something from that era is being exposed in your life right now. For example, if you were in the military and begin dreaming of the armor you had back then, your dream is speaking about something from the past that is surfacing. It is referring to something that you are “guarding” or perhaps even that you feel emotionally “guarded” because of something that might have happened back then.

UNIVERSAL SYMBOL

When you see either yourself or another person dressed in armor, this without a doubt refers to the armor of God! We are to gird ourselves with this armor for war. This is a source of protection, defense, and offense. It is the suit every believer should have.
From personal experience, depending on the grandeur of the armor, this indicates the level of ministry and authority the person you are praying for has.
​
Armor that is gold could indicate that this person is called to one of the fivefold ministry offices. It is common to see Roman or ancient style armor in vision to indicate the armor of God.
I have also on occasion noticed that the warrior angels are usually dressed in armor when I see them in the spirit.
Various forms of armor also represent specific nations or tasks that you need to do. If you are wearing armor designed for stealth, you know the spiritual warfare you are engaging in needs to be counter insurgence. If your armor is ceremonial, then the Lord is speaking about a new position He wants to give you.
​
If your armor is gritty and designed for hand-to-hand combat, the Lord is saying that it is time to engage in spiritual warfare and to take back the land that the enemy has stolen from you!
​
Paul speaks of our armor here:
​
"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." - Ephesians 6:11
​
NEGATIVE
​
If the armor you see is the armor of man, or if the armor is too big, this would have a negative picture. This would indicate that the person in question is trying to do things in their own strength.
​
Perhaps they are trying to attain something in their ministry or spiritual life using natural means. In this case, they are headed for disappointment, because look at what Jesus says about the man who wears the armor he has fashioned for himself:
​
"But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils." - Luke 11:22
​
In a ministry sense, this can also speak of being more like Saul than like King David. (1 Samuel 17:39)
​
This passage is a picture of those that try to put on a “big and bold” image but inside are simple shepherd boys.
​
I have often seen a vision like this in the spirit when ministering to individuals. They look around and feel insecure next to other great men and women, and try to imitate them instead of just being their weak selves.
​
The Lord called King David when he was nothing but a shepherd boy. He was not called because of his great skill and strength, but because of his humility and his warrior's heart. The answer is to let go of the status quo images and all the false pretenses and just to be what God has called you to be.
​
Rusted or damaged armor: There are two reasons why you might see a vision of rusted or dented armor. The first is that the person is using strengths and anointing from the past that have long since become irrelevant to their current mission.
​
The second speaks of contamination and indicates that either they have been under tremendous spiritual attack, or that they have allowed the enemy to wear them down and contaminate the weapons of their spiritual warfare. Although this scripture speaks of a weapon, it is relevant to armor as well.
​
"If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success" - Ecclesiastes 10:10
Baldness
To be bald is seldom positive. It speaks of humiliation and of being exposed.
A bald woman speaks of not being under covering.

POSITIVE
If you are a man and you are happy in the dream, waking up feeling positive, then it can speak of a change in your image as the condition of your hair is very much part of your “face to the world.”
​
NEGATIVE
​
Baldness has a negative connotation and speaks of shame, being uncovered, and exposed.
​
In the Old Testament, to make one’s head bald was a sign of mourning. The priests of Baal also shaved their heads as part of their cult.
​
If you are a woman and you dream of being bald, it could mean that you are not under covering as in the following passage:
​
"But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering." - 1 Corinthians 11:15
​
If you are a man and dream that you go bald it speaks of being exposed and being made vulnerable.
​
For the opposite of baldness, see Hair.
​
A bald leader: If you dream that your leader or husband goes bald, the Lord is warning you that your covering is under attack. This is a call to pray and also to be cautious as you are not being fully covered spiritually at the moment. Determine the area where you feel that you are either not under covering, or where the covering you are under is going astray.
​
If you are in a team, this dream does not just speak about the actual leader in your group, but what he or she represents. It also speaks of the organization or denomination that they are under.
Bed/Bedroom
A bedroom could mean different things to different people. For most it would speak of a place of intimacy and privacy.
​
Positive: A call to intimacy and to just be “you”
Negative: Entertaining sin through temptation
​
CHARACTER SPECIFIC SYMBOL
In our family it was very common for all of the kids to pile onto my parents’ bed every night as our father read us a bible story. Afterwards, we would pray together.
​
So for me, the bed, or my parents’ bedroom would speak of a place of security and a sense of belonging. Depending on what your experiences were in your family, what a bedroom would mean to you will change in your dreams.
​
In some families, their parents’ bedroom is completely off limits and would be a place that feels awkward. Take into account the kind of bed or bedroom in your dream or vision.
​
In a vision however, the bedroom takes on a very clear interpretation based on types and shadows in the Word.
​
POSITIVE
​
Naturally the most common interpretation, especially when dreaming of a marriage bed, speaks of intimacy. It also speaks of being vulnerable and open with the person that you are with. It also speaks of being in a covenant relationship with someone.
​
Have you ever heard the saying, "He is in bed with the enemy?" It means that he is in league with the enemy. In a positive sense, if you dream of being in a bedroom with someone that represents the Lord in your dreams, then it means that you are entering into intimacy with the Lord.
​
If you dream of being in bed with an unknown female character, it could mean that you are embracing your creative side or have a prophetic orientation.
​
Alternately, if you are in bed with a strange man and you feel positive in the dream, this speaks of entering into a more teaching orientation or perhaps getting more intellectual or logical in your thinking.
​
NEGATIVE
​
If you keep reliving past bad sexual experiences or have frightening dreams relating to being in bed with someone, this could indicate a hurt from the past that has not been dealt with or perhaps a fear you have.
​
Having a dream like this does not indicate that something like this will happen to you.
​
You need to discern if what you are dreaming stems from a past hurt, a current fear, or if it is simply a demonic attack from the enemy.
​

UNIVERSAL SYMBOL

POSITIVE
​
In a vision or prophetic dream, being in bed with someone can be very positive. I have often dreamed that I was trying to be intimate with my husband in a dream, but we kept being interrupted. The message was clear... something in my life was interfering with my relationship with the Lord Jesus.
​
The bed and bedroom in Scriptures speaks of a place of intimacy, vulnerability, and submission to the Lord. Consider this passage:
​
"Draw me away! The king has brought me into his chambers. We will be glad and rejoice in you. We will remember your love more than wine. Rightly do they love you..." - Song of Songs 1:4
​
NEGATIVE
​
Dreaming of being in bed with someone that is negative in your life is not a good picture. It means that you are in a relationship that is not of the Lord and that you are going the wrong way.
​
It also speaks of prostitution in Scripture and the prophets used this illustration often to show Israel how much they had turned their backs on God.
​
If you have a dream of adultery, it means that you have allowed the flesh to take control of your life and have left the Lord out.
​
It could also mean that you have allowed other things and other people in your life to take the place of the Lord. The Lord is the only one in the world who should be meeting your needs.
​
In a business sense, if you have a negative dream of getting into bed with a business partner, it could be that the step you are about to take is not of the Lord and you should be cautious.
​
"Also behind the doors and their posts You have set up your remembrance; for you have uncovered yourself to those other than Me, and have gone up to them; you have enlarged your bed and made a covenant with them; you have loved their bed, where you saw their nudity." - Isaiah 57:8
Bible
A representation of both the Covenant and Word of God in our lives.

Positive: The Word of God to you right now
Negative: To be bound by tradition and the book of the Law
​
POSITIVE
​
The Scriptures speak a lot of the book of the Law. I had a vision once where the Lord gave me a scroll to eat and He said that this was His Word. The interpretation was pretty clear. I needed to get the Word into me!
​
The Bible is also a picture of the covenant we have with the Lord. It is the foundation of our Christian walk. To see a bible as the foundation of a house, speaks about making the Word a foundation.
​
Also to dream of a bible or see one in the spirit, it is possible to take the interpretation literally. Perhaps the Lord is saying quite clearly... pick up the bible and read it sometime!
​
NEGATIVE
​
It is hard to imagine a vision of a bible having a negative connotation, but it is indeed possible. Some families have a big old family bible. Often in the spirit I have seen something like that and then I know that the Lord is speaking of a generational curse in this person's life.
Perhaps even teaching or traditions that they received from their parents that seemed innocent, but were not based in Scripture at all.
The Lord is indicating that even though their motivations seem to indicate that they are doing things for the Lord, they are operating under an ungodly religious spirit that will bring division to the Church and not healing.
​
"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them’” - Galatians 3:10
Black
Mostly negative in connotation, black refers to oppression, disease, contamination, ignorance and deception.
​
Relating to skin color: While dreaming of being in a black room or being surrounded by the color black would have a negative connotation, you might dream of a black person. If you feel comfortable around black people or are black yourself, then that person would mean something good in your dreams.
​
When dreaming about a black person, the first thing you must do is identify how you feel about this race in the natural.
​
I do remember one time though, when a black man I knew, had grown up feeling uncomfortable around other blacks (not having been exposed to other blacks when growing up) so when he dreamed of a black person, it had a negative connotation to him.
​
Being black also speaks of being different or standing out - but in a positive sense. Consider the following passages:
​
"I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. (KJV)" - Song of Songs 1:5
​
"Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. (KJV)" - Song of Songs 1:6
​
Relating to hair color: Now to dream that you were grey and your hair turned back to its original black, means that the Lord desire to “restore to you that which the locust has stolen.” (Joel 2:25) In other words, what you have lost through time, He will restore to you.
​
Relating to the actual color: The only time seeing the color black in the Scripture would be positive is if it referring to a valuable resource such as oil or coal. Rich, black coal indicates the materials that are good for starting a fire! This indicates a promise of abundance from the Lord. A blessing that has been there all along, but that you have just not seen it before.
​
Rich, black coal means that you have within you the potential to be a raging inferno for the Lord! All that is left now, is for you to light it and move forward.
​
NEGATIVE
​
For the most part though the color black is very seldom positive in a vision. Unless referring to a specific person of culture or race, the color black almost always speaks of darkness and the work of the enemy.
​
You might see a person bound by black chains. Perhaps you will see a person in a dark room. All of these are negative.
​
When ministering personally, I have often seen a person covered by a black, death shroud in the spirit. When I see this, I know they are under demonic attack.
​
I have also seen cities with a dark cloud over them. When I see this, I know I am seeing the work of the enemy in that area.
​
The color black will more likely be negative than positive in a dream or vision.
​
When I pray for someone for healing, the Lord will often show me the area that is infected as black in the spirit. This speaks of disease and sickness. When praying for healing of a specific injury or infirmity, I will often see the person’s organ or infected area in the spirit. The parts that are diseased, will appear black in my vision. I will continue to pray the healing through until I see the color of that organ change from black to its original state.
​
Here are some Scriptures to consider:
Speaking of oppression and physical attack:
"My skin grows black and falls from me; my bones burn with fever." - Job 30:30
​
Speaking of mourning:
Jeremiah 4:28 "For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black, because I have spoken. I have purposed and will not relent, nor will I turn back from it."
​
Speaking of sin:
Luke 11:34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness.
​
Speaking of the work of the enemy:
Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Blood
The blood of Christ refers to our salvation, however menstrual blood or blood from being hurt are both negative and indicate spiritual attack, walking in the flesh, or bitterness in your heart.

When a wound bleeds, although it is painful, it can sometimes refer to a season of cleansing. In most cases though if you dream of blood or of bleeding, it is negative.
​
NEGATIVE
​
To dream of blood being on your hands refers to being responsible for the lives of others.
​
In a natural sense, to bleed indicates pain, hurt, and destruction.
So if you dream of being cut and of bleeding, then it is means that you are under attack.
​
Certainly to dream of someone else’s blood on your hands means taking responsibility for them, but also an indication of being the reason for their hurt.
​
UNIVERSAL SYMBOL

POSITIVE
​
The blood of Jesus Christ is the most positive picture you can get. It was His blood that washed us clean and allows us to enter into a covenant with God, being only man.
​
The crucifixion of Christ is a picture of the blood covenant God made with man.
​
"In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” - 1 Corinthians 11:25
​
"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." 1 John 1:7
​
NEGATIVE
​
In the spirit I have often seen a bleeding heart when praying for someone. The interpretation is clear. They have had many hurts in life and still carry these hurts with them.
​
The Lord always desires to heal these hurts, and if you are a prophet, you will be used of the Lord to speak healing to these hurts. This process is called inner healing and is part and parcel of prophetic ministry.
​
Menstrual blood: In Scriptures, menstrual blood was considered a time when a woman was unclean. If you are a woman and you dream of being on your period, it speaks of being in the flesh or of allowing sin into your life. This is a warning dream.
​
“If a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood, she shall be set apart seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening." - Leviticus 15:19
​
The same thing applies to any man who has an “issue from his flesh” according to Scripture:

"Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean." - Leviticus 15:2 (KJV)
